Mission Statement
To reduce the chemical clutter found in skin care and lift the Spirit through Nature
At Anna Bellina we are inspired by the perfect harmony of nature. The five elements - wood, fire, earth, metal and water - reflect the balance of life within the universe and within ourselves. Wood Awakens our growth upward and outward connecting our deepest roots with our outermost branches. Fire Purifies and expresses our heart song. The earth Refines and harvests the gifts of our lives. Metal Renews the precious gold within. Water Illuminates our path wherever it may lead. The virtues of the five elements remind us of the interconnectedness of all things. Anna Bellina encourages us to return to our true essence of wholeness and embrace the holistic beauty of nature.
Anna Bellina is organic botanicals, all natural product and hand blended natural skin care. through purity, balance, and compassion
Our story begins in Rangoon, Burma in the late 1890s. English ladies living in a third world country were married to British Naval officers and turned to my Grandmother Anna Bellina Messino who created high fashion for these elite ladies of her time. Eventually skin care came into the equation. Chinese medicine, Ayurvedic herbs and Oriental Silk were the prime ingredients. The servants of the house also had their own local potions for all ailments. This is how my Mother Dorothy Beatrice Taylor grew up. One concoction in particular came from her nanny, which she later passed on to me.
When my Mom came stateside as a WWII bride, she grew organic botanicals in her Atlanta greenhouse. I remember how excited she got when another order came in, selling her plants through a small mail order catalog. Always a bakers dozen and with great customer service. I grew up watering those beautiful plants, the lush green and damp earthy smell. I also remember sneaking into her bathroom and taking the round gray plastic lid off the bottle of the gray glass bottle of Dorothy Gray neroli toner and inhaling the delicious aromatherapy... the die was cast.
Later, this past came back after I dropped out of college in the early 1970s and went to work at the Rich's cosmetics counter at Perimeter Mall in Dunwoody. When Shiseido first hit the American market, I repped for them. Went back to school to become a medical assistant and worked in a dermatologist's office. Went back to school again and became a licensed esthetician and opened a facial salon. Now, 38 years later and semi-retired, I specialize in fair sensitive baby boomer skin with sun damage and obvious signs of aging. With Nature + Science = skin can become young again!
