* Hyaluronic Acid - One of the most exciting ingredients on the market today. It was discovered by Karl Meyer in 1934 and has been successfully used in personal care and wound healing. Until the 1990’s the only method of producing hyaluronic acid was extracting it from rooster combs. Currently there are two forms of hyaloronic acid on the market; one from rooster combs and the other by fermentation in the lab. We chose the cruelty-free vegan approved lab created version. Hyaluronic acid is naturally found in the extracellular matrix of human tissue. Topically applied hyaluronic acid forms an air permeable layer and penetrates into the dermis, thus boosting the elasticity and hydration of the skin. The protective breathable barrier on the skin locks in moisture which gives the skin a youthful appearance. The cuticular layer of the skin normally contains 10-20% water, however as we age it can drop to below 10%. Hyaluronic acid comes to the rescue with its unique ability to hold more than 1000 ml of water per gram of hyaluronic acid, which is a key factor in allowing the skin to retain more water. Amazingly, hyaluronic acid adjusts its moisture absorption based on the relative humidity in the air. It is the ideal ingredient in skin care products as it adjusts to the skin’s need for a moisturizing effect depending on the relative humidity of seasons and climate of an area. Hyaluronic acid also protects the epidermis by scavenging reactive oxygen species generated by ultra violet light which would normally cause sunspots.
Apply twice a day after serum, gently pressing and caressing into toner damp skin. Reapply as needed to dehydrated skin during the day. Great for travel. This is the perfect pre-moisturizer step to load tissues with healing hydration before sealing with a moisturizer. Some oily skins in humid climates may find this is the only moisturizer needed.

i have been using the sunscreen, gel, and derma moisturizer for a week now and i just love them. the sunscreen is so light and not greasy at all under my mineral powder. this will definitely be my holy grail sunscreen. there are days when just the sunscreen on top of my vitamin C serum is enough moisture for my combo skin. no mid-day oily t-zone at all. my 11 year old daughter who has very sensitive skin is also using the sunscreen and she loves it. we both use the gel, but i use the derma moisturizer on top of the gel at night. even our neighbor who had some irritation on her skin and around her lips tried the gel and she informed me that the next day her skin felt better and her lips were not sore anymore. and, oh, the exfoliant is gentle and fabulous. it's like feeding my face with nutritious plants from an organic farm. i don't think it looks "nasty or greenish" (as the testimonial stated) at all. i thought it looked naturally organic -- maybe because i'm just so into natural stuff! anyways, i love the way it softens my skin. thanks for making such wonderful products, and for having them in pump bottles. i never worry that my products will be contaminated. absolutely LOVE your products!
