Treatment Serums or Serum Actives are the strongest product and the crux of any skin care line, used to spot treat or area treat skin for correction of unwanted skin conditions. Potent ingredients are blended for targeted skin correction. The formulas are very concentrated which is reflected in the size and cost of the product and must be used sparingly.
Eye Products ~ Serums, Creams, or Gels are designed to help visibly diminish the ever-deepening network of lines and the appearance of fatigue and discoloration caused by sun exposure, smoking, squinting, allergies, and pollution. The select ingredients hydrate, moisturize, and nourish this special area yet the formula must be light enough so as not to weigh down the delicate thin tissue or leave a greasy residue. Ingredients are usually included to address puffiness and dark circles, a very common occurrence for this area. Other spot treatment serums would be blemish serums and expression line serums for targeted correction of smaller areas. Serums are not moisturizers. Follow with a hydrator to add water hydration then a moisturizer to seal in that hydration.
An eye cream, firming eye creams and anti-aging eye serums can make a significant difference in the appearance of the 'windows to your soul', framed with the thinnest skin found on your body. This skin is very fragile and delicate, without sebaceous glands gracing the lower lids to lubricate and protect. No matter how gentle we are, this is where the first signs of aging will affect most of us. Puffiness and discoloration will subside with regular use.
Because the entire Anna Bellina line is without synthetic and harmful preservatives, each product is filled with only 100% active material. There is no water added to the products, therefore to disperse the products properly, the product must be applied to toner damp skin in order to facilitate penetration and absorption.
Mascara Removal Technique
Spread one pump lotion cleanser or vegetable oil between middle finger and thumb, gently massage only the lashes to dissolve waterproof mascara, take a facial tissue and place between middle finger and thumb so that you again encase only the lashes, gently wipe lashes free of softened mascara, this saves tugging on the delicate skin of the eyes, now use your facial cleanser to cleanse face of foundation and eye lids of eye shadow.
This technique will make a vast difference in eye skin firmness.
Additives Information
Alpha lipoic acid and DMAE are wonderful firming, moisturizing anti-oxidants. Coconut Oil is one of the healthiest oils for your skin! It deeply penetrates and strengthens underlying tissues, making sagging eyelids smooth and radiant.
Organic Meadowfoam Seed Oil is a penetrating oil that will not clog pores. Leaves a nice soft feel with deeply nourished, rejuvenated, and moisturized skin. Vitamin K reduces under-eye discoloration and puffiness by stimulating stale lymph and circulation. MSM strengthens connective tissue to help firm. Selected botanical extracts are astringent, soothing, puff-reducing, calming, anti-oxidant, antibacterial, and firming.
Chlorella is the skin firmer of choice. Rich in the enzymes that destroy collagen damaging enzymes, allowing the collagen and elastin matrix to rejuvenate and strengthen, creating a firm and pliable skin.
Niacinamide is the biologically active form of niacin, Vitamin B3. Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) increases the rate of skin exfoliation and increases moisture barrier repair. Studies have shown it to be useful in increasing synthesis of collagen and lipids, inhibiting the transfer of melanosomes and decreasing inflammation. "Niacinamide is one of the vitamins that I believe we'll hear more and more about in the coming years. Already, topical 4% niacinamide has been shown to be beneficial in the treatment of papular and pustular acne in a 4% gel, as well as the improvement of skin cancer and its anti-tumor characteristics,'' Dr. Draelos. Eye Cream: I want a 40 gallon drum!!!!! After just a week, my eye area looks much more hydrated, firm and smooth, the lines are just about gone! The dark circles have lightened just a bit, but those things are bad so I know it will be a while of consistent use before I see more difference there. I had stopped wearing eyeshadows because of the ummm 'crepey' lids. This is so much improved in just one week, I can't believe it, give it another month or so and I'll be on here begging you eyeshadow savvy ladies for tips! I will definitely be reordering this one before my sample is gone.
