natural ingredients make natural products

Our organic Live Skin Food is whole super foods, human food and yes, the foods that we eat everyday. If it's good enough for your body, then it's good enough for your skin.

ANNA IS A LIVING SKIN PRODUCT - our organic ingredients are either unrefined or unpasturised, and carefully sourced either for their raw or low temperature extraction and processing methods. And most importantly our creams are blended without heat, which means that your body, inside and out, benefits from an exceptionally rich blend of naturally occurring antioxidants, essential fatty acids and active healing plant phytochemicals.

Slowly, but surely, people are realizing that the chemically convenient artificial lotions and treatments for the skin, hair and body are simply not as effective as so many traditionally tested natural methods, and at worse, have caused even greater health problems. The time has come for us to rethink what we truly mean by ‘skin-care’. Our nature-rich premium quality base ingredients have been specifically selected purely because long-term health and well-being is our first and foremost objective.

VIRGIN COCONUT OIL
brings a wide range of benefits to your skin as a result of the symbiotic relationship it shares with the friendly bacteria that live upon your skin. These lipophilic bacteria release three Medium Chain Fatty Acids – Caprylic, Capric and Lauric. These fatty acids are naturally acidic and help protect the skins’ acid mantle, as well as having powerful anti-fungal, anti-microbial and anti-viral effects. Coconut oil protects, nourishes and heals all types of skin.

SHEA BUTTER
is used for its wonderful emollient and moisturizing properties. Its fatty acid profile compliments that of coconut oil. Coconut oil consists mostly of shorter chain fatty acids that are absorbed quickly and thoroughly into the skin to provide energy for the skin cells. Shea butter, being composed of longer chain fatty acids, absorbs less readily thereby creating a breathable, water-resistant moisture barrier on your skin. These saturated fatty acids are similar to the ones found naturally in your skin, and are the most stable when exposed to sunlight. They help prevent dehydration and also protect the skin from damage by environmental stressors such as UV, smoke and pollution. Shea butter also contains large, naturally occurring concentrations of Retinol and Vitamin E, both potent antioxidants.

ALOE VERA
has been recognized for several thousands of years as being a plant with powerful healing and beautifying abilities. Aloe’s greatest sphere of action is on damaged epithelial tissue (your skin). Topical applications are very helpful to hydrate and nourish your skin, as well as maintaining your skins strength, elasticity and youthful appearance. It has been found helpful in the treatment of conditions ranging from Acne and Acne Rosacea through to Psoriasis and Urticaria. The organic Aloe Vera in all Live Native Skin Foods is grown in beautiful Andalucia. It is hand-filleted, cold-pressed through charcoal filters and unpasturised, retaining the therapeutic benefit of all its many biologically active components.

VITAMIN E
is so important to the health of your skin that we have added an additional 5000iu of natural Vitamin E with mixed tocopherols. Combining the Aloe Vera Gel with the Virgin Coconut Oil, Shea butter and Vitamin E creates an important synergy, where the impressive healing and nourishing effects of all are combined to bring you a pure and natural moisturizing lotion, rich in essential phytochemicals and nutrients that are absorbed cleanly into your skin. Daily use of Live Native moisturizers provides your skin with all the nutrients it needs to stay youthful, well nourished and glowing with health.
